Another option for something to do this weekend is to visit the Maryland Renaissance Festival. The festival opens this weekend and every weekend through October. The festival is set in a fictional 16th Century English village and is spread out over 25 acres. It is held in Crownsville, Maryland, near Annapolis. According to Wikipedia, it is the second largest renaissance fair in the United States. Visitors can enjoy food, entertainment, and even dress in costume as if they were in the 16th Century.
