Action-A-Day 4/18/17: Earth Day 2017 is Science Not Silence

ACTION:  Stand up for Truth, Reason, and Science:  Two opportunities in two weeks.
First, the March for Science on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Washington DC or one of the 400+ satellite marches worldwide. And second, join the People's Climate Movement, Saturday, April 29, in Washington DC or one of the satellite Rally - Marches worldwide.

OVERVIEW:  The wars on science and climate science, are wars on our health, our national security and on our economy.  Science is the bedrock of all good decision-making in every facet of modern life.  It informs us of medical breakthroughs and cures.  Science is also the foundation of our total amassed understanding of climate change.  It is the rationale and only way we can know the changes are real and happening now.  Virtually every facet of life on the planet relies on the findings in scientific inquiry and research.  The scientific method is the only real way we have of finding fact from fiction.

On April 22, 2017: "We walk out of the lab and into the streets!
This march & rally is with scientists and science enthusiasts from all walks of life.  We are called to action to protect the vital role science plays in every area of our lives, including policy-making. We believe in science - not silence."-------March for Science Website.

On Saturday April 29, we March and Rally world-wide for Climate Science and safety from climate change deniers.  We will march for our families. We will march for our air, our water, and our land. We will march for clean energy jobs and climate justice. We will march for our communities and the people we love.

"In 2014, we said that it takes everyone to change everything. Now, with everything at stake, everyone has a part to play.  The People's Climate Movement is a project of over 50 organizations working together to solve the climate crisis and address the growing pollution of our air and water, while also assuring the creation of good jobs in our communities."  Beyond the steering committee, this project is supported by over 500 other partner organizations.  The full list of the partners of the Peoples' Climate Movement can be found here.---------The People's Climate Movement website.
