The House is expected today to vote and pass the GOP tax plan, a massive giveaway to the wealthy and corporations, paid for by raising taxes on some middle class families and forcing deep cuts down the line to critical programs like Medicare and Medicaid.
Calls to the Senate are the best way to stop this disastrous bill. A Senate vote on the #GOPTaxScam is expected after Thanksgiving, and the GOP will likely try to ram the tax bill through by 11/30. Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin became the first Republican to oppose both the House and Senate versions of the bill. Other GOP senators (Susan Collins, John McCain, Bob Corker) have voiced concerns about the tax plan, but are refusing to say how they would ultimately vote.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
From Indivisible: "This whole process could be done as early as November 30. The House will likely pass their version of the bill November 16. Then, both chambers of Congress will be on recess until Monday, November 27. The Senate could vote on a motion to proceed (the pre-vote vote) on Monday and bring the bill to a full floor vote as early as Thursday, November 30. Once it passes the Senate, it’ll go back to the House where they’ll rubber stamp the Senate’s plans and move it onto the President’s desk."
NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27
On Monday, 11/27, Indivisible groups will show up at Congressional offices around the country to say no to the #GOP TaxScam.
