Workplace Violence: Deterring and Surviving an Attack

  • Carroll Community College 1601 Washington Road Westminster, MD, 21157 United States (map)

Workplace violence can strike any business – large or small.

Although violence in the workplace has been steadily declining, it is still the 4th leading cause of fatal workplace injury in America, taking more than 400 lives annually. In this half-day seminar, hosted by Carroll County SHRM, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Community College, you will learn how to: minimize risks of workplace violence; prevent, deter and resolve conflict; train and prepare employees; handle any workplace violence aftermath and recovery; and resume business in light of an event. Hear from an active-shooter workplace incident first responder and investigator, local law enforcement professionals, and workplace violence experts. This workshop will help you, as an employer, HR professional, or manager, successfully navigate the difficult business world in which we live.
