March 20th is also Arts Advocacy Day, The 30th annual Arts Advocacy Day brings together arts advocates from across the country March 20-21 in Washington, D.C. Arts Advocacy Day brings together a broad cross section of America's cultural and civic organizations, along with more than 500 grassroots advocates from across the country, to underscore the importance of developing strong public policies and appropriating increased public funding for the arts.
Hosted by Americans for the Arts in partnership with over 85 national arts organizations, Arts Advocacy Day: The National Arts Action Summit is your opportunity to receive crucial advocacy training from experts in the field and immediately put that training into practice. Attendees will meet with members of Congress to garner support for issues like arts education policy, the charitable tax deduction, and funding for the National Endowment for the Arts.
